Phenolic Backup Ring for High-Performance Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves

This Backup Ring is made of phenolic plastics. Phenolic plastics is mainly composed of phenolic aldehyde resin and clothes strips, besides adding some additional material according to the different application requirements. The phenolic plastic is made to specific shape by hot forming under pressure.  Different kinds of the phenolic plastics are made in different forming conditions.
The finished Backup Ring have good insulation, physical and mechanical features. Afterwards the back-up ring will be lined with rubber material to form a resilient valve seat. It gives enough support of the resilient valve seat and guarantees the long-lasting use.
Furthermore, the Phenolic Backup Ring is cheaper than Aluminum and Cast Iron Backup Ring, it reduced the cost of the resilient valve.

    Applications

Valve components can be significantly enhanced through various applications. One such application involves lining them with rubber material. This process involves carefully fitting a layer of rubber onto the valve seat. The rubber material serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it forms a resilient valve seat that can withstand high pressures and temperatures without compromising on performance. The elasticity of rubber allows it to conform to the shape of the mating part, ensuring a tight and leak-proof seal. Additionally, rubber lining provides corrosion resistance, protecting the valve seat from chemical attack and wear and tear. Overall, lining valve components with rubber material enhances their durability, efficiency, and reliability, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
